FinnFitness ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1.Information We Collect

When you use FinnFitness, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
• Profile data (optional): Body weight, height, date of birth, training preferences, experience level, injuries, and equipment. All profile data is optional. You can provide as much or as little as you want during onboarding or in your profile settings. The more you share, the more tailored your workouts will be, but FinnFitness will still work with minimal information.
• Workout data: Generated workouts, exercise logs, completion status, session mood ratings, and external activity logs.
• Health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect: If you grant permission, FinnFitness reads workout sessions (type, duration, energy burned, distance) from HealthKit on iOS or Health Connect on Android. This data is used to detect workouts logged outside the app, adjust recovery and rest day suggestions, and avoid double-counting sessions. We only read the data types you authorize, and you can revoke access at any time in your device settings.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for app compatibility, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Crash and error reports: When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, we collect technical diagnostics through Sentry (a third-party error monitoring service). This includes the stack trace, app state at the time of the error, and a non-personal device fingerprint. We use this strictly to diagnose and fix bugs. Personally identifying information (email, name, body metrics) is not attached to these reports.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized workout programs adapted to your goals, equipment, and fitness level.
• Track your training history and progress over time.
• Calculate adaptive rest days based on your workout load, external activities, and synced HealthKit / Health Connect sessions.
• Diagnose crashes and performance issues through anonymized error reports.
• Improve the app's workout algorithms and user experience.

3.Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry standard security practices to protect your personal information. Your password is never stored in plain text. Crash reports are stored separately by Sentry under their security and retention policies.

4.Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and app improvement. Crash diagnostic data is shared with Sentry strictly for error monitoring. Your data may be disclosed only if required by law.

5.Health Data and Third Party Platforms

FinnFitness integrates with Apple HealthKit (iOS) and Google Health Connect (Android). Per Apple's and Google's policies, your health data is never used for advertising, never sold or shared with third parties for marketing, and never sent to any service other than Supabase for storage of your personal training records. You can disconnect HealthKit or Health Connect at any time by revoking permission in iOS Settings or the Health Connect app. Disconnecting stops new syncs but does not delete data already synced into your FinnFitness account; that requires deleting your account.

6.Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through your profile settings.
• Update your information at any time within the app.
• Delete your account and all associated data from the Profile tab in the app, or via the account deletion page.
• Export your data by contacting us.

7.Children's Privacy

FinnFitness is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8.Analytics

We collect anonymous usage analytics (such as workout completion rates and feature usage) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
